Dr. Gold's Biography
Dr. Pete, as he is known in the clinic, continues to enjoy the practice of Orthodontics: “I love giving people something to smile about. There’s nothing like the smile clients flash when the braces come off and their teeth look straight and great.”
After graduating from Dental School at the University of Toronto, Dr. Gold provided dental treatment to the Inuit in northern communities and to children in rural Saskatchewan. Inspired by the creative aspects of orthodontics and positive effects on patients, he took further studies at the University of Manitoba to earn a specialty degree in Orthodontics.
In 1981, Dr. Gold established his practice at 94 Cumberland Street in Yorkville, Toronto. An ever-growing interest in adult treatment led to the launch of Orthodontics for Adults in 2006.
A Past President of the Toronto Central Dental Society, Dr. Gold has taught Orthodontics at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry and served as a staff member at Mount Sinai Hospital. He has lectured at various dental organizations and dental schools in and outside Toronto about adult orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Pete is married to Elaine Gold, and they have four children, Dan, Aaron, Leah and Naomi, and is now blessed with two grandchildren, Adina and Tziporah. |
